By Fritz von Wasserbottich - Wed 05/04/17 03:22:02 GMT It's an equestrian cross-country game. Participants dressed as folklore characters (like Cinderella, Pied Piper of Hamlin and the like) ride horses along a trail, solving problems based on folklore, and completing tasks on the go. One story is about a princess salvaging golden balls from a well. They played it out with the girl jumping into this water tank to fetch the balls. -- For one task, they set up in the woods a life-size doll of Red Riding Hood's grandma; the doll got reported to the police by passing motorists as a suspicious, possibly dead, body. |

By jollywetfellow - Sun 02/04/17 20:48:12 GMT Google translate doing its usual competent job (not). "The pupil jumped into the Wasserbottisch, fished one after another the balls out". Presumably that's what's happening in the embedded pictures? "The outpouring officials were amazed at the alleged find." Are these officials the people whose job was to empty the barrel to find the balls, or is that sentence about something else? I am sure one of the many German speakers on this Forum who also speak excellent idiomatic English can do a better job at explaining than these guys from California. Please! |
